FHSAA: (Florida High School Athletic Association) The
Florida High School Athletic Association has worked closely with
the National Federation of State High School Associations to
provide the least expensive and most user-friendly alternative
for the certification of coaches. Hear more about this
state-of-the-art online program, which utilizes various media to
assist the coach in becoming a successful interscholastic
teacher/coach. This Fundamentals of Coaching Course is endorsed
by the National Association of Secondary School Principals
Association.

FTE Audits: This session will address issues to provide
guidance to a more successful FTE compliance audit. Website:

HR Metrics: A discussion of the data HR professionals
should have in order to support our positions and make

Keynote Speaker: Learn approaches that will enable you to

PPS A Partnership Preview: The Bureau of Professional
Practices is planning the creation of a partnership model to
further enhance its operations and its interface with districts.
This session will present the currently developing plan and
solicit feedback from session attendees for further development
of the plan.

SHRM: Society for Human Resource Management. Learn about
this professional organization that serves to support and
advance the profession of human resource management. Website:

Substitutes: NCLB and Substitute Teaching and the
National Benchmark Study on Teacher Absenteeism. A report on the
status of the NCLB and its impact on substitute teaching will be
presented and discussed. The draft of NCLB has been released
from the House SubCommittee and is open for discussion and
debate. Legislation relating to substitute teaching is currently
in the bill.
The National Benchmark Study on Teacher Absenteeism and
Substitute Teacher Usage has begun and is open for districts
to participate in. Expectations, performance measures, and
expected results will be discussed during this presentation.

Teacher Recruitment: This session will focus on providing
an overview of what the FLDOE is doing regarding teacher
recruitment and the role of Teachers-Teachers.com. The
Department of Education has contracted with Teachers-Teachers.com
to develop the Website and provide school districts and charter
schools subscriptions to the recruitment system, free of charge.
