dependent on qualifications and/or experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field (certification in an approved legal assistant or paralegal training program preferred).
  2. Extensive personnel experience.
  3. Successful experience in planning and presenting inservice programs.
  4. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels within the district and in state/federal administrative agencies.
  5. Ability to make decisions within established procedures and practices.
  6. Ability to plan, organize and develop a project.
  7. Knowledge of current computing technologies and software applications appropriate to the position’s job responsibilities.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Functions:

  1. Serves as the District’s Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and American, with Disabilities Act (ADA) coordinator.
  2. Establishes, maintains and reviews policies and procedures to comply with federal employment laws.\
  3. Investigates and compiles documentation for response to EEO and ADA requests and complaints.
  4. Keeps informed of state and federal employment laws and judicial decisions, and writes policies and procedures to keep the school district in compliance.
  5. Coordinates hearings and monitors compliance with EEO and ADA guidelines.
  6. Develops and implements preventive training programs for all employees regarding, but not limited to harassment, discrimination and their consequences.
  7. Conducts District-level meetings.
  8. Serves as District liaison with agencies as required.
  9. Implements programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with School Board priorities

Additional Job Functions:

  1. Follows adopted policies and procedures in accordance with School Board priorities.
  2. Conducts oneself in the best interest of students, in accordance with the highest traditions of public education and in support of the District’s Mission Statement.
  3. Performs other duties as assigned.
